PhotoLibrary panel
Browse your photos to find the folder
containing the images you want to
enhance. The right side of the screen shows
thumbnails of the images in the selected folder
and, above that, a preview of the image you’ve
selected. Optical lens correction profiles are
located and applied automatically.

Dynamic keywords
Keywords now pop up as tooltips
whenever you hover your mouse
pointer over images in the File Explorer tab.
Keywords are also displayed directly in the
Metadata palette, plus you can directly add,
delete or rename keywords, or assign them
to a batch of images. The results of these
searches are shown on the right.

Customise panel
For detailed adjustments and
enhancements, swap to the
Customise mode. Your photo is then displayed
filling the window, with an optional before-and-
after view (shown here) to help you judge your
adjustments and see how far you’ve come. For
a one-click ‘look’, the Apply Preset button is
in the top-right corner of the window.

Repair tool
The brand-new Clone mode is
the ideal way to replace areas of an
image with an exact copy of another part of
a photo. Opacity and Feather settings can
be adjusted in both modes, making repairs
look completely natural without harsh
edges or visible transitions.

Local Adjustment
Masks
This is now easier than ever with
PhotoLab 3 by DxO. A new palette lists the local
adjustments that have already been applied to
your image. With one click, you can see all the
settings applied by the local edits. Display
them as adjustments or hide them instantly
as a Photoshop Mask – all with a single click.

ColorWheel
Fine-tune colour values, select
replacement colours, and even
adjust transitions and tints for truly distinctive
effects. The new Uniformity Slider helps you
standardise colour variations within a specific
range. The Saturation and Luminance Sliders
now work independently of each other, so you
can now convert colour to black and white
without having to use complex masks.
