JBL REFLECT Eternal

Sure, top wireless headphones these days give
you 12–hour+ battery life... but how about Bluetooth
headphones you don’t have to charge at all? That’s
what JBL is promising here, using solar charging,
thanks to Exeger’s Powerfoyle tech, which is built
into the headband and earcups. JBL says 2.5 hours
of sun exposure per day would mean unlimited
listening time. But getting in the sun for 1.5 hours
per day would mean the battery life is a huge 68
hours. Okay, this may be more use in LA than
Seattle, but we still love the idea. You can order
now on Indiegogo for delivery in October 2020.

AKG Lyra Ultra–HD

>>> We’re not sure why AKG is confusing us with the
“Ultra HD” terminology here: this is nothing to do
with 4K video. This is a USB–connected mic that
records in up to 24–bit/192kHz, through a four–
capsule mic array. It’s made to be easy to use for
podcasting, music, streaming or anything else, but
also to sound absolutely pristine. And it does this
wherever — it works with Mac, iPad or even iPhone,
and has useful controls for microphone monitoring
control. But most importantly, it looks incredibly
cool — a classic radio feel made modern.

Logitech 4K Pro Magnetic Webcam

$199.

For all the advanced technology packed into
Apple’s Pro Display XDR, there’s one thing missing:
a camera. So Logitech has made one especially for
it, with the specs and design to match. It connects
magnetically to the top of the Pro Display XDR, and
has an aluminium finish. It grabs Ultra HD images at
30 frames per second, and has HDR and support for
Logitech’s own RightLight tech for adjusting lighting
to highlight you, even when backlit — though you
can also tweak the camera settings yourself.
