Autoflow or edit?
Once you have selected your
images, Motif automatically creates
a layout for you. Scroll through to see
if you like it; if you don’t, you can easily
edit the layout, style, and arrangement
(see steps 6, 7 and 8).

Choose product
When you create a new project
in Motif, the first step is to select the
product you want. Choose between
a hardcover or softcover book, with
calendars and wall tiles coming soon.
Each book has four size options.

Adjust page layout
Tap Layout to change the photo
arrangement. As mentioned, each page
can hold up to nine images; you can
select a full–page image or choose
from a variety of multi–image options.
You can also add text from here.

Add images
If you want to add or remove an
image on the current project you’re
working on, simply tap on Images in
the bottom–left corner. From here, you
can also view all your used (placed)
and unused (unplaced) images.

Select images
Choose the pictures you want to
add, either from Memories (curated by
the Photos app) or from the albums in
Photos. You can have up to nine photos
per page and up to 100 pages per book,
so you can choose plenty of images.

Get an overview
Tap Arrange to see an overview
of the entire book. This gives you a
better idea of what your finished
product will look like. At this point, you
can add/remove spreads (two adjoining
pages), or duplicate an existing spread.

Checkout
When you’re happy with the
end result, tap Checkout. If any of the
image resolutions are too low to be
printed, you’ll get a warning. You’ll
need to replace them with higher res
ones. Then you can order your book.

Style customization
Click on Style to change the
color of the page, or add patterns
in certain themes. You can apply the
changes to all the pages in your book,
or limit them to a particular setting
(left/right only, alternate pages).

Pick a theme
Motif offers 14 themes to
choose from. Each one comes with its
own fonts, page colors, and layouts. All
these features can be customized at
any point during the process, so you
can change them if you aren’t happy.
