GitHub
github.com/mobile
(varies)
If you dabble in development,
you’ve probably been waiting for
GitHub to release an official app.
Well, it’s here at last – for some
users, at least. GitHub for mobile
lets you carry out a range of tasks
on the go, such as collaborating
with others,
sharing
lines of
code,
providing
feedback
and more.
There’s a
catch, however – the app is still in
beta testing, so you need to sign up to request
access to either the iOS or Android beta. What’s
more, the testing programme often reaches its
user limit, which means you may not be able to
playwiththeapp until spaces become available.

5.1 11
We’ve seen a
number of
great new
takes on the
Tetris formula
recently,
including an
awesome VR version, Tetris Effect, on
PS4 and the multiplayer mayhem of
Tetris 99 on Nintendo Switch. For us,
however, nothing beats the traditional
Tetris, which is why we were gutted
by EA’s recent announcement that it
plans to discontinue its classic Tetris
mobile app in April. Thankfully, new
developer N3twork has
stepped into the breach
with this version. It’s basic,
but still great fun even
afteralltheseyears.

Co-Star

5 10.2
Describing itself
as a “hyper-
personalised”
social astrology
experience,
Co-Star has won
lots of fans since
its iOS release (including singer Dua
Lipa, who was quoted as saying the
app is “banging”) and will no doubt
gain even more now it’s available for
Android, too. Its AI generates daily
predictions based on an accurate map
of the sky at your time of birth, coupled
with live planetary data from NASA.
Whatever you think of
horoscopes, Co-Star’s
pearls of wisdom are fun,
occasionally provocative,
andsupremelysharable.

5.1 9
The Mob Museum
- aka the National
Museum of
Organized Crime
and Law
Enforcement in
Las Vegas – has
released an app dedicated to providing
information about the real-world
museum and its exhibits. You can view
floor maps, take a self-guided tour and
browse upcoming programmes. For
those who don’t intend to make the trip
to Vegas in person, however, the app’s
biggest attraction is likely to be its
DoppelGangster tool,
which scans your likeness
and tells you which
mobster from history you
mostresemble.
