strip, a solid white 2^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strip,

and a solid pink 2^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strip to make

Strip Set B (Diagram 2). Cut strip set

into twelve 2^1 ⁄ 2 "-wide B segments.

Sew together two solid pink

21 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips and two solid white

21 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips to make Strip Set C

(Diagram 3). Cut strip set into twelve

21 ⁄ 2 "-wide C segments.

Sew together a solid pink 8^1 ⁄ 2 ×42"

strip and a solid white 2^1 ⁄ 2 ×42"

strip to make Strip Set D (Diagram 4).

Repeat to make three D strip sets total.

Cut strip sets into thirty-six 2^1 ⁄ 2 "-wide

D segments.

Sew together a solid pink 4^1 ⁄ 2 ×42"

strip and a solid white 2^1 ⁄ 2 ×42"

strip to make Strip Set E (Diagram 5).

Repeat to make a second Strip Set E.

Cut strip sets into twenty-four 2^1 ⁄ 2 "-

wide E segments.

Sew together two solid pink

Strip Set F. Cut strip sets into twenty-

CUT FABRICS

Cut pieces in the following order.

From solid pink, cut:

▫ 3—8^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips

▫ 5—6^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips

▫ 9—5^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips for border

▫ 7—4^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips

▫ 18—2^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips

▫ 84—3× 101 ⁄ 2 " sashing rectangles

From solid white, cut:

▫ 17—2^1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips

▫ 24—4^1 ⁄ 2 " squares

▫ 49—3" sashing squares

ASSEMBLE SEGMENTS

Measurements include^1 ⁄ 4 " seam

allowances. Sew with right sides

together unless otherwise stated.

Press seams in directions indicated

by arrows on diagrams. If no direction

is specified, press seam toward darker

fabric.

Sew together a solid pink 6^1 ⁄ 2 ×42"

strip and a solid white 2^1 ⁄ 2 ×42"

strip to make Strip Set A (Diagram 1).

Repeat to make three A strip sets total.
