Switching up the color palette of
Pink & White Delight let project
tester Sarah Huechteman piece a
sunny 28× 53 " table runner. Sarah
used eight of Block 2 and framed the
blocks with sashing.
FABRICS are from the Majestic Mountains
collection by Teresa Ascone for P&B Textiles
(pbtex.com).
ASSEMBLE QUILT TOP

Referring to Quilt Assembly
Diagram for placement and
orientation of blocks, lay out solid
white 3" sashing squares, solid
pink 3× 101 ∕ 2 " sashing rectangles,
and blocks in 13 rows. Sew together
pieces in rows. Press seams toward
sashing rectangles.

Join rows to make quilt center.
Press seams away from block
rows. The quilt center should be 78"
square including seam allowances.

Cut and piece solid pink 5^1 ∕ 2 ×42"
strips to make:
▫ 2—5^1 ∕ 2 ×88" border strips
▫ 2—5^1 ∕ 2 ×78" border strips

Sew short border strips to
opposite edges of quilt center.
Add long border strips to remaining
edges to complete quilt top. Press all
seams toward border.
FINISH QUILT

Layer quilt top, batting, and
backing; baste. (For details, see
Complete Quilt, page 111.)

Quilt as desired. Designer Vicki
Ruebel machine-quilted a
custom pattern of straight lines and
feather, ribbon candy, and curved
diamond motifs in the quilt center
(Quilting Diagram). She stitched a
piano key pattern in the border.

Bind with remaining solid pink
