A diferent type of inish but breathtaking nonetheless. Suarez rescued a point with a sumptuous
strike against the Magpies after Yohan Cabaye’s goal had given the visitors a half-time advantage.
There was something a little route one about it as ex-Newcastle full-back Jose Enrique ired a 50-
yard pass from left-back to pick out Suarez’s run in behind the opposing centre-backs. He brought
it down high on his chest while still on the run, before having the awareness to know exactly where
keeper Tim Krul was and touch the ball past the Dutchman and prod it into the empty net.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew said afterwards: “When all is said and done about this lad, he’s a
fantastic player. All day today he gave us real problems.”
