Tap, long-press and swipe everywhere in the Stocks app. It is not obvious,
but there are hidden actions and additional information.
Step-by-step Customise stocks, markets and news
1
Cycle the stats
The Stocks main screen shows a few
markets and stocks by default and a news feed
below. Tap the green buttons to cycle through
% change, points change and the market cap.
4
Read the news
Down at the bottom of the screen is From
Apple News. Swipe up the screen to see news
stories related to the company. Tap an Apple
news story to read it in the Stocks app.
2
Add markets/companies
You will want to add your own favourite
stocks and markets to the default set. Type in a
company name to search for it. Look for .‘L’ in
the results for London Stock Market.
5
Home screen news
After adding a company or market, return
to the Stocks home screen. Pull up the news
feed and there is now a section dedicated to it.
Companies are added to the news feed.
3
View an item
Select an item in the search results to see
the details page showing current share price
and the changes over two years. Tap ‘Add to
Watchlist’ to add it to the main screen.
6
Remove companies
If there are items on the Stocks main
screen that you no longer want to follow, swipe
left over them and then press ‘Remove’. The
section is also removed from the news feed.
7
Rearrange items
Tap ‘Edit’ on the main screen to show
followed items. Press and drag the three bars
on the right up or down to change the order.
This affects the order of news stories too.
8
