of the small collectibles. “But eventually I did see it: The inside of my
house was definitely reminiscent of my enamelware.”
Her favorite light paint shades, which she uses on walls, trim, and
furniture, are Benjamin Moore Olympic Mountains and Glidden Sutton
Place Grey. Valspar Noir is her chosen black, which she incorporates
more subtly on things like shutters, mirror frames, and lighting. And
unlike her ever-changing DIY projects, the palette doesn’t stand to
change anytime soon. “This is my first neutral house,” she says. “Before
I had kids, I never realized how calming whites and grays could be.”
The house might be plain vanilla, but thanks to the laid-back, fearless
spirit of its owners, its interiors are a distinctive treat of their own.
