The boss was just three months into

his Liverpool reign when his vision

“I was an under-average player but if I

could do something, it was defend set-

plays,” he said. “It’s not that diicult. But

now, as you saw, it’s like a self-fulilling

prophecy.

“Everybody is talking about it, we

are thinking about it and you see it

in situations. At second balls, we are

thinking ‘oh my goodness’. That’s the

situation.

“But I’m not sure we would have

scored ive if we didn’t concede four.”

last-gasp winner during which striker

bespectacled boss and left him de-

spectacled.

“I have a second pair of glasses but

I can’t ind them,” lamented Klopp

afterwards. “It’s really diicult looking for

glasses without glasses.”
