Shootinglonglenslandscapesopens
up a ton ofpossibilitiesforcreating
some wonderfulabstract
imagery. Forget having a focal
point, instead look for repeating
patterns and interesting
textures within the landscape.
Cascading mountains or hills
work well, patterns and lines
created by trees strewn across the
landscape, or colourful fields creating
a patchwork effect on the countryside are all good
examples. Lead-in lines are more important than
ever in these abstract images. Without a strong
focal point we need our lead-in lines to work extra
hard in guiding your eye around the image and
adding form to the texture.
Above The lack of a focal point is made
up for with well-placed lead-in lines.
