ADD POINTS
Sometimes you might want to make
a sharp angle that removes the curve
and sends the line back in the opposite
direction, like the pointy part of the fish
body here. Simply double-click a point
to make it an acute corner rather than
a smooth curved corner; or double-click
again to make it curved.

03

ADJUST THE POINTS
After closing a path by clicking on the
original point, you can click anywhere on
the line to add more points; drag existing
points to move them and adapt the curve;
or highlight and delete those you don’t
need. If you want to add a series of straight
points into the shape, then double-click
when making the point.

ADD EXTRA SHAPES
Click elsewhere to begin a new shape.
Here we’ve added extra shapes for the fins,
then used the Ellipse Shape Tool to make
the eyes. You can double-click a Shape
Layer in the Layers Panel to change the
color fill. Next, we’ve used Layer > Combine
Shapes > Unite Shapes to merge the
shapes into one.

05

DUPLICATE THE SHAPES
It’s easy to duplicate a shape like this
once you’ve made it once: simply grab the
Move Tool, hold Alt and drag the shape to
create a copy. Continue Alt-dragging for
further copies. You can then resize any
of the copies by pressing Cmd/Ctrl+T for
Transform Mode, or double-click the Shape
Layers to alter the colors.
