A button you can press to indicate that you’re in a state of panic
seems like an incredibly useful item to have in 2020, but this
particular one isn’t up to much. When you press the button, it makes
one of five incredibly annoying noises and flashes a light. If you press
it enough you could probably annoy somebody into helping you with
whatever it was that was causing you to panic, if only to get you to
stop pressing the button.
Almost as annoying as the sound
is the fact that the panic button
isn’t particularly solid. It slides
about and the button presses
unevenly. If you can’t even
rely on your panic button
to be solid in a crisis, then
what’s it even good for?
Annoying people, apparently

  • it’s very good at that.

The Tablet Pillow Stand is comfy and foamy, with three little plastic
ridges amid the comfy foaminess, which enable you to balance a phone
or tablet computer while you operate it. While it lacks the precision and
fortitude of a metal or rigid plastic stand, the pillow stand can do its job
fine – it doesn’t take a suspension bridge level of heavy engineering to
keep a tablet at a visible angle, after all. The sides of the stand are soft,
and you can rest your arms on them while you’re using the screen,
so there’s no risk of encountering even mild discomfort or
inconvenience either. It’s ideal for sofa or bed use.

Brillo (^) Pillow
Cramming a large amount of power into the smallest possible device
is always a worthy endeavour, and the T-Core portable charger makes
an admirable fist of it. The T-Core is a handy size, being easy to carry in
a pocket, and is fully loaded with a 10,000mAh battery, which is good
for nearly three refills of the average Samsung phone, or as many as
five refills for an iPhone.
The T-Core can be recharged via micro-USB, Type-C USB or an
iPhone lightning connector, which is a neat idea, meaning you only
need to carry the USB cable you’d usually use to charge your phone
to also charge the T-Core. There are two USB 2.1A outputs, which
provide reasonably fast charging.
Remaining charge is indicated
by a readout showing the
percentage, which is the best
way to do it. The T-Core looks
simple, but the design is
deceptively clever.
