Soccer 360 - CA (2020-03 & 2020-04)

SEASON PREVIEW

D.C. United
2019 SEASON: 13-11-10, 50 points (Fifth in
the East, Eliminated first round)
KEY ADDITIONS: Edison Flores (Morelia),
Julian Gressel (Atlanta United)
DEPARTURES: Luciano Acosta (Atlas),
Wayne Rooney (Derby)

Ola Kamara will be tasked with trying to
replace Wayne Rooney in Washington
after the Englishman left the club at the
conclusion of the 2019 campaign. Kamara
joined the D.C. late last year and had a
respectable three goals in five appearances.
United should qualify for the playoffs again
in 2020, but don't expect them to make too
deep of a run.

Inter Miami
2019: N/A
KEY ARRIVALS: Matias Pellegrini
(Estudiantes), Julian Carranza (CA
Banfield), Roman Torres (Seattle),
Lee Nguyen (LAFC), Rodolfo Pizarro
(Monterrey)

Finally! David Beckham's Miami expansion
team will begin MLS play this year and
are looking to make an immediate impact
on the league. They inked 19-year-old
Argentine Matias Pellegrini as their first
ever Designated Player and added a bunch
of MLS veterans in the likes of Lee Nguyen,
A.J. DeLaGarza and Roman Torres to help
the new club adapt to the league. Even
though it is just their first season, Inter
Miami look like they'll be fighting for a
playoff spot.

Montreal Impact
2019 SEASON: 12-5-17, 41 points (Ninth in
the East, did not make playoffs)
KEY ARRIVALS: Coach Thierry Henry,
Ballou Tabla (Barcelona B), Romell Quioto
(Houston)
DEPARTURES: Daniel Lovitz (Nashville),
Ignacio Piatti (San Lorenzo), Daniel
Kinumbe (Halifax)

After missing out on the postseason last
year, the Montreal Impact decided to make
a change and brought in French legend
Thierry Henry as their new head coach. The
squad hasn't seen too much overhaul, but
they did bring in Zachary Brault-Guillard
on a permanent transfer from Olympique
Lyonnais after spending last season on loan
with the Quebec club. The Impact should
be an improved side this year, but don't be
surprised if they miss out on the playoffs
yet again.

New England Revolution
2019 SEASON: 11-12-11, 45 points (Seventh
in the East, Eliminated first round)
KEY ARRIVALS: Adam Buksa (Pogon
Szczecin), Kelyn Rowe (Real Salt Lake),
Seth Sinovic (Kansas)
DEPARTURES: Juan Agudelo (Inter Miami),
Edgar Castillo (Atlanta United), Cody
Cropper (Houston)

The Revolution brought in Bruce Arena
in the middle of the season last year to
help guide the club back to winning ways.
While the experienced MLS coach certainly
helped the franchise improve and should
help even more this season, the quality of
the squad on the pitch is simply not good
enough to compete in the ever-improving
MLS. The Revolution may be able to reach
the playoffs in 2020, but that's about it.

Canada international
Jay Chapman will
start anew in Miami as
he looks to prove that
he deserves to be a
starter in MLS
