typicallyattractsmorethan 150
competitors.There’sa diversevariety
ofcraftcategoriesandagesofentrants
rangefrom 10 yearsto...master....
Allwhoenterwillbesharingthelakes
withanabundanceofwildlife.Kangaroos
andgoatsoftenwatch-onfromthe
water’sedge,birdlifesquawksabove
andswimmingalongsidethere’softena
varietyofaccompanyingmarinelife—
includingsealsandtheGippslandLakes
Burrunandolphins.
Competitorswillseethespectacular
man-madeentrancetoNinety-Mile
Beach,a featurethatallowswatertoflow
intoBassStraitfromtheGippslandLakes.
Allproceedsfromtheeventgoto
supporttheLakesEntranceSurfLife
SavingClub’sannualfundraiser.
Theeventwillalsohavea varietyof
craftsforhire,whichcanbedelivered
tothestartlineandcollectedafterthe
eventhasconcluded.Theseinclude:
hobiekayaks,singleandtwoperson
sit-on-topkayaks,whichareextremely
stable,andsurfskis.
A terrificpoolofdonatedprizeswill
seeeveryentrantgointoa luckydraw
prize- withthewinnerselectedfroma
barrelattheLakesEntranceSurfLife
SavingCubfollowingtheevent.
Watersafetyis a priority,therewillbe
ninerescuecraftspreadoutoverthe
course.
