icoh Imaging Co.
announced the
launch of a new
compact digital camera,
the RICOH WG-50. The
new camera features a
monitor; its brightness can
be adjusted depending on
ambient light, suitable for
outdoor use. The WG-
inherits features of the WG
series such as dust and

splash-proof construction.
The camera is waterproof
down to 14 meters,
shockproof against a fall
from 1.6m and endures low-
temperature down to minus
10 degrees Celsius. The WG-
50 is equipped with a 1/2.3-
inch 15MP back-illuminated
CMOS sensor, 5x zoom
lens (28-140mm in 35mm
equivalent) and 6 LED lights

around the lens, which helps
in microscopic photo mode.
It provides video recording
in full HD in 1920/ 30fps.
The dimensions of the
WG-50 are: 122.5 x 61.
x 29.5mm and it weighs
193g. It is available in two
colour variants: black and
orange. The camera is
available at a street price of
approximately 40,000 yen.

edition, which will be held between
26th to 29th of September, 2018. �e

Kodak re-builds its motion picture
�lm processing infrastructure in
the United States. Kodak is working
slowly towards building, leasing,
partnering in major cities in the US
to process its motion picture �lm.
�e latest move is the new 5-year
lease on part of Pinewood Studio in
the UK to establish a new negative
�lm processing lab. Following the
Pinewood deal, Kodak makes similar
move in the US (Atlanta, Georgia
and Queens, New York) builds an
entirely new processing lab.

Nikon reports a net loss of 7.
billion yen (62.4 million) for the year
through March 2017, blaming heavy
spending on structural reforms and
weak sales of digital cameras.
