Screengrab 7: Clicking on the Customization button opens a
new menu. Select Focus setting.
Screengrab 8: This where the AF fine-tuning will happen.
Observe that four focus distances are provided by the
software. These are the distances at which you need to test
the lens in question for checking the AF accuracy.
Screengrab
9: Shows that
the focussing
distance of
2.871 feet has
been selected.
On my particular
135mm f/1.8
Art lens, there
was no issues
with the AF
accuracy at
a distance of
2.871 feet; it was spot on. Hence no changes were made
and you can see the curser aligned at ‘zero’, denoting ‘no
change’.
Screengrab 10: Shows that the focussing distance of 4.2
feet has been selected. I have already mentioned earlier
that at a distance of 4.2 feet, my lens was back focussing
very slightly. Hence you can see in the screengrab, that I
have compensated for that error by setting the AF to minus
1 step.
Screengrab 11: Since my lens was front
focussing very slightly at 7.5 feet, I have
compensated for that error by setting the AF to
+1 step.
