Inspiring homes

Style idea

Add pops of

colour with quirky

accessories in a

white scheme

Family area
‘The scheme for this area was
inspired by the black and white
polar bear print – I usually design
most of my rooms around a piece of
artwork! Most of our furniture is from
eBay or Facebook Marketplace. Our
dining table with four chairs and two
grandfather chairs was £200 from
eBay, which we upcycled. We spend
all our meal times in here and we
love entertaining when friends and
family come to stay – it’s such
a welcoming and sociable space.’

‘My two-seater sofa from Ikea in the family area is
really comfy and I love sitting here reading with
Conrad and looking out into the garden’

Chloe made
use of the large
unused fireplace
and found a
white storage
basket to fit
perfectly in the
space which is
filled with toys,
and a faux plant
on top to add
some colour and
texture to the
black and white
scheme in the
family space.
She’s made sure
that there is
plenty of storage
in this area to
hide away all of
the bits and bobs.

The gallery wall is
full of the couple’s
special moments
and rather than just
being a collection of
pictures, everything
has a sentimental feel
including some family
artwork and photos.
Using all white frames
creates a fully cohesive
look and blends into
the wall. The faux
animal head in
the middle of the
gallery wall creates
dimension and is an
interesting feature.
