Measure and cut the pine board
to 40cm in length, or your
desired size, using a saw. Smooth
the rough edges with sandpaper.2
Lay the wood on a protective
work surface and brush
with wood stain. Allow to
dry, before turning over and
repeating on the other side.3
Mask off diagonal stripes across
the board with strips of tape,
then brush with white furniture
paint. Leave to dry, before applying
a second coat, then remove
the masking tape strips.4
Cut copper pipe into two 14cm
pieces and four 3cm in length.5
Connect and glue a 14cm piece
to two smaller pieces using two
copper elbows, and leave to dry.
Repeat to make a second handle.6
Glue the handles to each end
of the board using contact
adhesive, and leave to dry.
