Intermediate Egret
Binomial Name: Mesophoyx intermedia
The Intermediate Egret is a common resident aquatic bird of Bangladesh. Bangladesh'sbill, rivers, flooded grasslands, arable land, lakes, ponds, estuaries, and mangrove forests
are typically home to isolated groups of herons and egrets. They search for food in shallowwater or floating stilts and catch prey with their sharp beaks. Their food list includes fish,
frogs, snails, and aquatic insects. During the breeding season from November to May, theeggs are laid in nests made of aquatic plants and twigs.
