The Sundarban, the world’s largest mangrove forest, is home to various birds. Thisevergreen forest full of biodiversity is also a paradise for birds. The wildlife and the forests
of Bangladesh are like my breath. I have to wander around in these forests to refreshmyself. More than two decades ago, I began to walk in the water and jungle like a free bird
and to frame the biodiversity there. My jungle practice started after getting to know thesestars of nature. That is how my acquaintance with the Birds of the Sundarban began.
In 2017, the book I wrote, ‘Amader Sundarban’ [Our Sundarban], was published. Imentioned only a few birds in that book. Many readers are interested in learning about all
the birds in the Sundarban. Since then, I have been trying to make this book for the last
few years.
Writing the book started about three years ago based on my and my friends’ practicalexperience of watching birds in the Sundarban over the past decade. I have also collected
theories and pieces of information fromclaim that this book contains information various sources. It is not right toabout all the Birds of the
Sundarban, but I have been able to highlight most of the Birds of
the Sundarban in the book.
