To finish the project: To create the signatures I used 250gsm mixed media paper, craft paper and coloured card for the covers. I

stamped and embellished the covers using the same set of stamps to keep to the theme. I also stuck Stitched Slots on the inside

front cover and cover of the first signature. I made tags, additional beach huts, a mini envelope and also used some hearts left over

from an earlier project to embellish the inside. To complete and frame the project, I ran the Deep Lagoon ink around the edges of the

journal.

4 Stamp a Beach Hut onto painted card
using VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink.

5 Pour Ivory embossing powder over

the image, tap off the excess and heat

set. Repeat until you have four huts,

two deckchairs and the life saver ring.

6 Stamp the sentiments using Deep

Lagoon ink. Stamp the birds using

Hickory Smoke ink.

7 Cut out the beach huts, deckchairs
and ring. Use more paint to create a
shadowed area.

8 Place the embellishments onto the

right side of the folder, then fix in

place using your preferred glue.

9 Glue the ring onto spare card. Create

a hole through both the ring and the

journal, and fix in place with a brad.

This becomes the closure.

10 Cut four pieces of coloured card for
signature covers, plus a further three
pages for each signature. Fold, and
lightly glue along each of the inner
pages.

11 Thread elastic through the holes

to create a holder for each of the

signatures. Attach another length

around the life ring, wrapping twice

around journal.

12 Finally, use a soft pencil to edge

around each of the beach huts to give

them extra depth. Repeat on some of

the internal embellishments.
