TECHNICAL LAYOUT
The Scala sits on an extended version of the Volkswagen Group’s MQB-A0
supermini platform, which it shares with the likes of the Seat Ibiza and Volkswagen
Polo. Its 1.5-litre four-cylinder motor is transversely mounted and drives the front
wheels through a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Suspension is
by way of MacPherson struts up front, with a torsion beam employed at the rear.
