The Coleman House in Forest Town,
Johannesburg, is one of Pancho Guedes’
‘Euclidean Palaces’, which are homes
designed by the Portuguese architect
that celebrate the geometric principles
of ancient Greek mathematician and
philosopher Euclid; commissioned in
1984 by struggle veterans Audrey and
Dr Max Coleman, the home is regarded
as one of the best examples of South
African Modernist architecture, and
includes a circular swimming pool
accessible from the main bedroom.
