Unfortunately, I wasn’t.

But the Winklevoss

twins had the foresight

and became bitcoin billionaires – getting their

revenge on Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg (p20). While

we’re on Zuckerberg, what does he, Snapchat’s Evan

Spiegel and Alphabet’s Larry Page all have in common

• apart from being tech billionaires, that is? Well, they
  all voluntarily pay themselves a $1 salary. Wait, what?
  Yes. Find out why (p24).
  Is it so surprising that the majority of the CEOs
  who pay themselves just $1 a year are from tech
  companies? Technology is, after all, transforming
  the world in a way we never quite imagined, and its
  leaders are at the forefront of innovation. Just look at
  computers, smartphones and the internet. What’s next?
  Well, lab-grown meat, manipulating robots and fusion
  power is what we can expect in the near future (p98).
  Just when you think tech couldn’t possibly get
  much more advanced, hop into the latest generation
  Porsche 911. Even this iconic sports car which had
  its heyday some 50 years ago, has kept up with the
  times. Read about my drive experience of the new

What about technology’s biggest baby – social

media? We talk to Tao Liang (aka Mr Bags) who, with

six million online ‘bagfans’, is taking the socials by

Richard Chang, who was a professional basketballer

before becoming the Senior Vice President of Costco

Asia. He shares a lesson or two about how he has

brought an athlete’s mind to an executive’s job (p26).

And when you’re ready to completely switch

off and take a digital detox, you can seek respite

at Trisara – the home of Phuket’s first and only

Michelin-starred restaurant (p196). Join the likes of
