(Steven Felgate) #1
Shiloh makes bail and is back on the
streets of Port Charles. Among the first
people he encounters are Jason and Drew,
and quickly, things get heated.
Co-Head Writer Chris Van Etten notes,
“Getting out on bail is a big win for Shiloh,
but only a temporary win because he’s still
facing charges, he is still a pariah, and his
base of support is definitely fractured. He
needs money to defend himself, or in the
event that his defense fails, the means to
help himself disappear.” He offers Drew a
deal for the ELQ shares Oscar left him, “But
in invoking Drew’s dead son’s name, he
basically waves a red flag in front of Drew.”
Adds Co-Head Writer Shelly Altman,
“Shiloh is a master manipulator. He knows
he is poking the cobra, but he may not be
prepared for the venom that he has evoked.”
The men’s confrontation prompts Shiloh
to think back on his time overseas with a pre-
amnesiac Drew. Teases Altman, “Viewers
will learn a little more about the nature of
the relationship between Shiloh and Drew
in Afghanistan — and why Drew’s memory
of certain events is of critical importance to
Shiloh.”

Thomas once again uses Douglas to
manipulate Hope; this time, Thomas’s goal
is for her to spend the night with him. “In
Thomas’s thought process, he sees that for
him and Hope to be a real family, this is
something that needs to happen,” explains
Matthew Atkinson (Thomas). “However,
he wants this to be Hope’s decision, and
he sees her hesitancy, so he mentions to
Douglas that mommies and daddies should
spend time together. He doesn’t go into the
specifics of it but he does say, ‘If you tell
Hope that you want us to spend the night
together instead of her spending the night in
here with you every night, we’ll become a
normal family a lot quicker.’ ”
Thomas then sets the stage for an evening
of romance, assuming that Hope will honor
Douglas’s wishes. “There are rose petals,”
previews Atkinson. “He lights some candles
and he asks her to spend the night together.
Yes, he’s pushing things forward at an accel-
erated rate, but Thomas believes 100 percent
that this can happen, and it can happen
sooner than everyone may expect.”
