Having A Ball
“The last night there was a ball, and you
get the award for who wins the house cup.
Everybody goes back into their rooms
and changes into their normal clothes and
comes back downstairs. This was before
that. But for the last hour/hour and a half,
everybody is their normal self. It really
was mind-blowing because it opened
our eyes to how creative human beings
can be. I mean, some of these people
completely changed their voices, completely
changed the way that they looked. One girl
became a werewolf and by the end of it, Chad
and I were like, ‘Maybe werewolves are real.
Maybe this is the only place she can come

Cheering Squad
“We got to come out of our shell in our own ways.
Chad ended up on the Quidditch team. We had a game
and he won. My brother ended up joining the cheer
squad because his voice was so loud that everyone
recruited him. I was in the stands rooting for my boy-
friend, who is in this dodgeball/Quidditch game, and
my brother was screaming and cheering and I was like,
‘This is so cool.’ ”
