oble Earth is a six-month-

old company, which was

started by Umesh Rawool

and Bhakti Rawool. The

start-up markets 100 per cent natural

home and personal care products

under the brand name Mom and Dad.

Talking about what worked in Noble

Earth’s favour, Umesh said, “Our 100

per cent natural products are the

need of the hour. Our idea of parents

taking the lead to make this world

a healthy place will definitely have

a positive impact on society. We do

not want to compromise in terms of

quality in every aspect - from keeping

the products 100 per cent natural to

creating values which will help the

brand prosper. The unique business

idea, vision, scope, values and passion

were demonstrated so strongly in our

presentation that they made an impact

on the jury members as well as the

audience.”

India 2019, the 11th edition of

Startup Kickoff was held at

Nesco’s Bombay Exhibition

Centre, Mumbai on May 25-

26. Amidst the Franchise and
    Retail Opportunity (FRO)
    show, start-ups were allowed
    to exhibit their products and
    ideas at a dedicated location
    called the Demo Zone.

The Competition

Additionally, these young

entrepreneurs, who included

Abhinav Bharti, Founder,

ESCS; Umesh Rawool, Founder

Noble Earth; Rachit Sewani

from Label It Custom; Science

India’s Irfan Turk, presented

their ideas to the jury and the

audience.

The jury consisted of

Samir Dahotre, Founder &

CEO, Perspective Startup

Incubators (PSI); Nidhi Saraf,

Founder & CEO, Key Venture;

Karishma Kirpalani, Associate,

Artha Ventures; and Vipul

Patel, Serial Entrepreneur

& Mentor. Each pitch was a

five-minutes session – first

three minutes for presentation

and two minutes for question-

and-answer around. The jury

evaluated these entrepreneurs

on four main criteria - market,

team, uniqueness and selling

point.

In a neck and neck

competition, Noble Earth was

declared the winner of this

year’s Startup Kickoff.
