CUTTINGTHESHIRT
SteponeCutthecollarandsleevesoffandremove
somelengthfromthebottomoftheshirt.^01
SteptwoMarkouta curvedV-neckontotheshirt
andcutawaytheexcessfabric.Youcouldmake
thisa morerounded neckline depending on your
desiredlook.^02
StepthreeToensuretheshirtwillfityou,youwill
needtomarkandcutawaysomeexcessfabric
fromthesideseamandsleeves,youcanusean
existingtopasa templateforthis.Stitchthenew
sideseamstogetherwrongsides(WS)facing.
Finishtherawfabric edges with an overlocker or
zigzag stitch.^03

BINDINGTHENECKLINE
SteponeAddsomebiasbindingtothenecklineto
finishit.Openthebiasbindingupandposition
thetapeontherightside(RS)oftheneckline,sew
inthecreaseofthetape, being careful not to
stretchthetape.^04
SteptwoPressthetapeawayfromtheblouse,
pressingtheedgeofthetapewithyouriron.Turn
thetapetotheinsideoftheblouse,neateningthe
endsbytuckingthemin.Pin, then topstitch the
biasbindinginplace.^05
StepthreeFinally,hemthesleevesandbottom
edgeoftheblouse.Weuseda singlefoldhem.To
dothis,firstoverlockorzigzagtherawedgesthen
presstheedgeupby1cm (⁄in) and neatly
topstitch in place.^06
