though here it has an extra outer band showing
battery charge.
With the SF90 Stradale, Ferrari has upped
the game considerably. There is an enormous
amount of new technology built in, but the
headlines are that it is offering McLaren P1,
Porsche 918 Spyder or LaFerrari performance for
a fraction of the price. At the very least, in this
respect the SF90 has gone beyond expectation.
We won’t get to drive the car until late summer,
but given Ferrari’s skill at integrating systems –
damping, turbo boost and Side Slip Control on
the 488, for instance – we’d expect the SF90 to
meld internal combustion and electric power
harmoniously into a seriously exciting, fast and
very compact supercar.
Makes you wonder what its rivals at McLaren,
Porsche and Aston Martin will do next.
