Sixties Message of Peace

“When the power of love overcomes
the love of power the world will know
peace.” This quote by musician Jimi
Hendrix (Quotable Quotes, April)
immediately struck me. Although
it came out of the 1960s it is more
meaningful than ever today. It is a
message for the ages. MICHAEL WOUTERS

Environmentalist
Inspires Students

The article ‘Papa Bear’ (March)
was really special. I teach an
environmental course to high school
students. I shared it with my students
and we had a meaningful discussion
on the role of sun bears as a keystone
species – a plant or animal that plays
a crucial role in its ecosystem – and
the efforts of Dr Wong Siew Te to save
this bear. My students were inspired
that one person’s effort can lead to
change. TRAPTI TRIVEDI
