(Sean Pound) #1

re-creating Caesar’s first triumph of 46 B.C.

A man carries a large vessel full of treasure. A bull is paraded
behind, already decorated for sacrifice.

Musicians provide merriment for the occasion, while others
carry standards that represent those defeated by Caesar.

Soldiers’ armor, weapons, and other trophies are carried
through the crowds.

Comprising men, women, and children, a group of prisoners pass
by as other captives watch them from behind bars.
