Carter has

passed away.

If you didn’t know his name, you would certainly recognise his face.

Australian actor Richard Carter, famous for his roles in films Mad Max:

Fury Road and The Great Gatsby, as well as numerous appearances in

Australian television shows, has passed away after a short illness. He

was 65. A statement from Carter’s agency said: “He was an esteemed actor,

a storyteller, and someone who touched the lives of many. His generosity

knew no bounds and his loss is too great to quantify. He will be sorely

missed.” Carter’s long list of TV credits include Wildside, White Collar Blue,

Blue Murder, Rafferty’s Rules, The Flying Doctors, A Country Practice and

Rake. In the 2007 telemovie, Murder in the Outback, Carter played killer

Bradley Murdoch. TV personality Julia Morris called the actor a “true

gentleman”. Carter is survived by his wife, Lindsey, and daughter, Amy.
