A course that defies initial impressions,
Shandon Park is the least known of
the four Belfast parklands listed here.
What looks flat and tame from the car
park hides a far more cavorting interior
beyond the clubhouse. The par 3s make
this particularly noticeable – the 180-
yard 15th plays over a deep dip and up
to a pine tree backdrop – but there are
some steeply sloping fairways as well, so
tackling those is a key challenge.
