beforehand,howdotheythen
transitionintothedownswingand
whatmovementswouldhelpgolfers
achieve more power consistently?

Ithinkweallknowthatfromthetop
ofthebackswingwewanttogetthe
lowerbodymovingfirst,thentheupper
body,thenthehandsandthearms.
Thelongestplayersintheworldget
themajorityofpressureontotheirlead
legveryearly,usuallybeforethelead
armgetsparallelwiththeground.What
thisdoesisithelpsthempushback
anduptocreateforce,butitalsohelps
them to create optimal launch and spin

bygettingtheattack angle more
upwardsaswell.
Alotofpeoplegettheirdownswing
startingbymovingtheupperbodyfirst.
Theytryandpullthearmsdown
towardstheball,buttheproblemthere
isthey’veusedupallthatenergytoo
early,theclubistravellingdownand
acrossandthey’renotusingthe
groundcorrectly.Solet’sgetthat
