I always search for higher meaning in
everything, even in what I wear. I got this
necklace two years ago as a wedding gift
from my friend Amalia, who designs a
gorgeous line of jewelry called Rainbow
Gems [Bonet married actor Jason Momoa
in 2017]. To me, there’s nothing more
beautiful than nature, and a rainbow, with
all its resplendence, can convey so much
joy. I love that this necklace celebrates
such a magical moment in my life. I also
love that each gem is from the earth.
There’s moonstone, ruby, tourmaline,
topaz, emerald, and more. Every stone
is radiant on its own, but together they
create this perfect visual offering of
hope and love, just like when you see
an actual rainbow. I wear it every
day, with everything—T-shirts, skirts, dresses. Usually I wrap it so that there
is a layer around my neck that supports my throat chakra and another
layer that hangs over my heart. Life can be filled with so many distractions,
but when I put this on in the morning, it’s a simple reminder of exactly
how I want to spend my day—with reverence and gratitude that I’m alive.
