lessplentifulkintheareaswhere
crows,magpiesandtherestofthe
mob are most abundant, and thefarmswheremassgatheringsof
corvidshavebeendroppingintofeed
arecakedinwhitedroppings.
Onefarminparticularwashitvery
hardbyflocksofcrowsdescending
ontosilageclampsandintotheyard
totakecattlefeed.I managedtomake
somebigbagswiththeshotgunin
June.Myvisitsmadea bigdifference,
butwerecutshortwhensomeflighty
poniesweremovedintoanadjacent
field,rulingoutthenoisy12-bore.
