Once a twin to the departed Holden Barina, the now French-
owned, ex-GM Europe subsidiary Opel has reinvented its
German supermini for its sixth iteration as an ultra-modern,
style machine, riding on the upcoming all-new Peugeot 208’s
CMP platform. It’s even debuting in all-electric Corsa-e guise,
just to underline how hip the 37-year-old nameplate has
become. Embattled Holden won’t get it (or can’t, probably),
but PSA may eventually ... one day, perhaps. Please.
