From renowned boat designer Stephen
Dougherty comes a cutting-edge fi sh-
ing machine constructed with a broad-
er scope of materials and processes,
and endowed with what the builder
describes as “uncompromising
fi shability” and “earth-shattering
features.” The Solace 345 incorpo-
rates everything on a serious angler’s
wish list, plus a number of innova-
tions and enhancements that set this
center-console apart. They include
a FishThru transom that extends aft
between the outboards, a retractable
swim platform, twin 52-gallon live-
wells with clear lids and tuna tubes,
and a multipurpose workstation fi tted
with twin refrigerators, sink, storage
drawers and a grill. Additional features
include a hydraulic helm riser, ample
storage, 28 rod holders, including a
hydraulic folding rack for eight rods
on the hardtop, shaded second helm
above the hardtop, ergonomic bow
seating and Shockwave helm seats—
all with full-size backrests—for maxi-
mum comfort, hydraulic three-person
mezzanine bench, two- person berth,
well-appointed head, basin sink, micro-
wave, LED lighting, and much more.
Robalo recently added the 226 Cayman
S to its popular line of bay boats.
This 22-foot center-console features
Kevlar-reinforced construction,
stainless-steel hardware, and ceramic-
cored transom for added strength and
durability. While perfectly suited to
fi sh the fl ats, the latest Cayman has a
big-boat feel, with offshore-venturing
capability. With a dry-riding freeboard,
effi cient 15-degree variable deadrise,
and hydro-lift bottom design, this
Robalo is built to excel in a variety of
conditions. One of the few boats in its
class to feature a fully enclosed walk-
down compartment, which serves as a
privacy head with an optional port-a-
potty, the 226 Cayman S also includes
a 20-gallon insulated livewell/fi sh
box on the bow and twin 30-gallon
insulated livewells/fi sh boxes aft (all
with LED lighting, blue-fi nish interior,
and directional aerator with Flow
Valve), a forward 45-gallon insulated
fi sh box to starboard, bow rod-storage
locker to port, twin gunwale rod racks,
brushed, anodized aluminum leaning
post with backrest and 70-quart cooler
underneath, cockpit LED courtesy
lights, and an aft double-wide bench
with fold-down backrest that closes
fl ush to form the rear casting deck.
