the Knox for

second time

Am AndA Knox has mar-
ried her husband for the
second time in a bizarre
space-themed wedding.
The 32-year-old Amer-
ican and her poet husband
Christopher Robinson
were joined by 100 guests
who wore a mixture of
medieval, Renaissance,
space and toga outfits.
Knox, convicted of
killing British student
meredith Kercher in Italy
in 2007 before being
acquitted on appeal, wore
yellow trousers and corset
with her hair in Princess
Leia-style buns.
The couple had asked
strangers to crowdfund
Saturday’s ceremony in
Burien, Washington.
In return they offered “a
limited edition copy of The
Cardio Tesseract, our joint
book of love poems”.

TERROR Claudia Winkleman

Claudia: My flashbacks hell after daughter’s fire horror

ClaUdia Winkleman has told of
how she was tormented by years of
intense flashbacks after the 2014
Halloween horror in which her
daughter’s costume caught fire.
Matilda was eight when her fancy
dress outfit went up in flames after
she brushed against a candle.
She suffered severe burns to her
legs, and neighbour Jamie Poulton
was left with second degree burns

after trying to extinguish the blaze
with his bare hands. Claudia was so
traumatised she needed help from
her close pal, adolescent and child
clinical psychologist Tanya Byron.
Speaking to Tanya on their new
podcast How did We Get Here?, the
Strictly host said: “you helped me
with flashbacks. i had flashbacks of
when my daughter had an accident
and they come at you like a bull. like

a tsunami, it’s so enormous you
think you’re going to drown. So you
have to shove it to one side.”
Claudia, 48, also has sons Jake,
16, and arthur, eight, with husband
Kris Thykier and since the accident
she has had to stop herself being
too over-protective.
Tanya was among the first people
Claudia contacted after the horror,
as they have been friends since

working on BBC3 show The House
of Tiny Tearaways in 2005. Their
podcast features parents who have
been through tough experiences.
describing the fire incident
previously, Claudia’s neighbour
Jamie said: “it was like a potential
horror film in front of me. This
material just keeps reigniting and
re-burning. and it is sticky, so it
melts on the skin. it was horrific.”

Bradley: I’m outta space

and was converted into a Cyberman,
then a water creature.
donna (Catherine Tate) lived but had
her memory wiped, while Amy (Karen
Gillan) died alongside hubby Rory.
Clara ( Jenna Coleman) suffered a
painful death in 2015 episode Face the
Raven and the first companion in the
show’s reboot era, Rose Tyler (Billie
Piper), was trapped in a parallel universe.
Showrunner Chris Chibnall is already
writing the 13th series of doctor Who,
expected to air in autumn 2021.
Last week, BBC drama chief Piers
Wenger defended the show after ratings
fell to 5.5 million from 8 million for the
previous series in 2018.
He said it remained popular with
younger viewers, adding: “It will always
be an important show for us and we’re a
very long way from wanting to rest it.”
The BBC declined to comment on
Bradley and Tosin’s exits.

have happy endings.

unstuck. This is 10 months of ramming

my 60th year. It’s tough. It’s
hard. It’s relentless. It really is.
This ain’t an easy gig.”

TIME’S UP
Bradley with

Whittaker,
Mandip Gill
& Tosin Cole

Bradley Walsh has decided to call
time on his doctor Who adventure
after two years in the Tardis.
The 59-year-old will depart along with
co-star Tosin Cole, 27, in this year’s
festive special as Jodie Whittaker’s Time
Lord battles the daleks.
Policewoman Yaz, played by mandip
Gill, 32, will remain and Whittaker, 37, is
confirmed for a third season.
The festive special has been filmed but
the exit storyline for Bradley and Tosin’s
characters, Graham and step-grandson
Ryan, remains a closely guarded secret.
A show source said: “Two years is a
long time in the world of doctor Who.
Yaz will be back but Christmas will be
the last outing for Ryan and Graham.”
Walsh previously admitted he finds
the BBC sci-fi hit’s long filming schedule
gruelling. He said ahead of the latest
series: “We have great fun doing it. But

Christmas
