TK head coach Josh Thaler called Van-
Haitsma a, “leader on and off the floor. He is
a tough player to match up with offensively
or defensively. He scored in the post, outside
and attacking.”
All-Barry County
Boys’ Basketball
Second Team
Jacob Draaisma, Thornapple Kellogg: A
sophomore guard in his first varsity season,
Draaisma averaged 7 points per game and
was in double figures ten times. He had a
season-high 19 points in an OK Gold ball-
game at Cedar Springs.
Coach Thaler said Draaisma had great growth
from the start to the end of the season, picking
up his scoring late in part with his outstanding
outside shooting. He had a stretch of nine games
late in the season where he was over 45 percent
from behind the three-point line.
Tyler Gavette, Thornapple Kellogg: A
junior guard in his second varsity season,
Gavette was the primary ball-handler for TK
handling most of the pressure for his team.

game. He scored in double figures six times
including a 20-point performance in an OK
Gold Conference ballgame at Kenowa Hills.
Noah Lilley, Barry County Christian: A
sophomore, Lilley did some of everything for
the Eagles this season. He averaged 13.

traffic and becoming a more consistent shoot-
er while working to stretch his range,” coach
Hogoboom said. “He always just got by with
quickness, and is adding other elements to his
game to score in a variety of ways. He creates
havoc for people defensively and really
brings energy and pace to what we try to do.”
Montreal Reid, Lakewood: A senior
guard, Reid averaged 5.3 points and 3.
rebounds per game, while tallying 1.8 assists
as well. He shot over 70 percent from the free
