CALCULATING

We calculate to solve problems in maths.

We can add, subtract, multiply, and divide in

our heads or by writing numbers down on

paper. By learning some useful strategies,

we can work with numbers of any size.

By remembering a few simple rules, we can

also solve calculations in several stages.
