James Lantolf
Originally a dissatisfied secondary school teacher, who later earned a degree
in historical linguistics and who also researched Spanish dialects in the
United States. He gradually developed an interest in the work of Vygotsky
and other Russian educational psychologists and is now seen as the leading
figure in the SCT movement.
