MORE THAN 400 local residents attended a
public meeting at St Margaret’s Park
convened by the group Accessible
Corstorphine for Everyone (ACE) where
speakers talked of the apparent
shortcomings of the Corstorphine
Connections project. This is a six month trial
Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) involving
bus gates and road closures. Residents are in
the main opposed to the measures which
run alongside a further open public
consultation. One Meadowhouse Road
resident said that cars are now driven along
the pavement during rush hour, something
which has only happened since the measures
were implemented. Alex Cole Hamilton MSP
(right below) said it was shameful that
Transport Convener, Cllr Scott Arthur was
not at the meeting. The Edinburgh Reporter
has been advised that both the council
leader and Cllr Arthur have invited members
of ACE (photographed below) to meet to
discuss the Corstorphine LTN.
