Rubens,who,lateinhiscareer,found
himselfdeluged
with
requestsforpaintings.
He
createda
sys-tem:Inhislarge
studioheemployed
dozensofoutstandingpainters,
onespecializing
in
robes,
anotherinbackgrounds,
andsoon.Hecreatedavastproduction
lineinwhichalarge
numberofcanvaseswouldbeworkedonatthesametime. Whenan
importantclientvisitedthestudio,
Rubenswould
shoo
hishiredpainters
outfortheday.
Whiletheclientwatchedfrom
abalcony,
Rubenswouldworkatanincredible
pace,withunbeliev-able
energy.Theclientwouldleaveinaweofthisprodigious
man,whocould
paintsomanymasterpieces
