The FuTure oF CSS
In this final chapter, we’ll look at some
more experimental CSS3 features. As you’ll
see, these features range from ones that greatly
extend your ability to lay out pages (to rival those of
printed magazines) to ones that bring you powerful
methods and functions found in other programming
languages.
I must state up front that these features have limited implementation
and, as I write this, are defined in modules that have yet to complete the
W3C recommendation cycle; these two facts mean that the future of the
features in this chapter is uncertain. Because these features are in such
a state of flux, I’ll discuss each briefly, without the level of detail used
throughout the rest of this book.
