Although we may seem to be trapped in a restrictive space during
the period of lockdown, disconnection with social surrounding
does not restrain us from appreciating the beauty of life.
By adopting a slower-paced lifestyle, we’re able to experience
tranquillity on a spiritual level and utilise our time to create a soft
yet complex space to unfold the sensation of nature and relish the
joy of life.

In the final semester, I worked in a group of four to produce a
collection for our industry partner, FFIXXED STUDIOS.
FFIXXED STUDIOS is a collaborative men and womenswear brand
based between Hong Kong and Shanghai. China. The brand
was founded in 2010 by creative directors Fiona Lau and Kain
Picken. Their collections respond to the construction of daily
life, exploring notions of work and life in contemporary culture.
Although the style is a laid back simplicity, it also shows modern
cutting, fluid and eclectic aesthetic that reflects the everyday
luxury attitude. They draw on natural fibres, custom-developed
fabrics and personalised production techniques to address issues
of sustainability and ethical working progresses.
The mood board of our collection is called ‘Lespace’. Our team
have explored the keywords such as the concept of space, light
and shadow, which is closely related to the aspiration of our
industry partner and our collection. For our colour pallet, we have
chosen earthly, neutral, autumn & winter tones and textures with
a splash of brick red. Those colours are inspired by our secondary
research of the interior designs, furniture, curtains, decorative
objects from different households. We discovered that those
colours create a cozy hemisphere which surrounds us with peace
and calming those distracting thoughts emerged in our mind.
