The number of confirmed
cases of coronavirus in the UK
reached 87 yesterday in the
biggest increase in a single day
so far. Thirty-three of the 36
new patients had either
travelled to affected countries
or been infected by others who
had, according to the chief
medical officer. Senior
doctors warned the health
service would struggle to cope
with an influx of cases.
Meanwhile, the struggling
airline Flybe collapsed last
night, partly due to low
demand after the outbreak.
