Eric Dier clashed with Tottenham Hotspur fans in the stand after the club’s FA Cup penalty shootout defeat
by Norwich City on Wednesday evening.
Footage shows the Spurs midfielder running into the west lower stand before appearing to have an
altercation with one of the club’s supporters.
Stewards then dragged Dier away from the crowd after the club’s surprise defeat.

(Getty)Asked about the incident in his post-match press conference, Spurs manager Jose Mourinho said: “I think
the fans were with the team until the last penalty kick that we missed.
“The people who tease in these privileged positions, in this area of the tunnnel, of course some are
Tottenham fans, but sometimes I think a lot of corporation, invitation, a lot of people wiht some special
status, and probably is the place of the stadium where I have sometimes doubts that if they are the real, real
Tottenham fan.
“Because these ones support the boys until the final whistle. This person insulted Eric, his family was there,
the young brother was not happy with the situation and then Eric, I repeat did what we professionals cannot
do, but it’s something that probably you would do.
“I know the reaction of Eric was based on his brother, he didn’t like what was happening there.”
