Generating new questions. Does the investigation connect to a
student’s personal interests? Does the outcome suggest a question or
pique a student’s curiosity? The science classroom is most exciting
when students are generating their own questions for further
investigation based on class or personal experiences. The notebook is
an excellent place to capture students’ musings and record thoughts that
might otherwise be lost.
